About Me
I grew up in a remote rural village in Nepal. I completed my schooling in my village and then moved to Kathmandu to pursue higher secondary education.
From an early age, I was deeply interested in trekking and mountain life. My inspiration came from my elder brother, who occasionally worked as a porter. With his support, I was given my first opportunity to join a trekking expedition in 2007 as a porter. It was the beginning of my career in the Nepal trekking industry.
My first trek was a 25-day expedition to Upper Mustang, where I worked as a porter with a Sierra Club group from the United States. It was a fully organized camping trek with tents, kitchen staff, and a large support team. The experience was transformative. The dramatic landscapes, the hospitality of local communities, and the strong sense of teamwork through campfires, cultural exchange, music, and celebration left a lasting impression on me. This trek confirmed my decision to pursue a long-term career in trekking.
After several years as a porter and gaining valuable field experience, I became a professional trekking guide. Over the years, I have guided clients across many regions of the Nepal Himalaya, including remote and high-altitude areas, while prioritizing safety, responsible tourism, and meaningful cultural interaction.
With extensive hands-on experience and a strong passion for mountain tourism, I am now focused on establishing my own small trekking business. I am committed to offering authentic, safe, and personalized trekking experiences in Nepal. My goal is to contribute positively to local communities while sharing the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Himalaya with travelers from around the world.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey.
