Message from the Founder

Namaste and welcome to Kora Adventure,

My name is Ven Dong, Founder and CEO of Kora Adventure. My journey in the trekking and tourism industry began in 2007, when I started working as a porter in the Nepal Himalaya. Coming from a remote rural village, I grew up close to nature and the mountains, which shaped my respect for hard work, local culture, and the environment.

My first trekking experience in Upper Mustang, working with an international group from the United States, deeply inspired me. The landscapes, the warmth of local communities, and the strong sense of teamwork in the mountains confirmed my passion for trekking as a lifelong profession. Over the years, through dedication and continuous learning, I progressed from porter to professional trekking guide, gaining extensive experience across many Himalayan regions.

Kora Adventure was founded with a clear vision: to offer authentic, safe, and responsible trekking experiences led by local experts who truly understand the mountains. Having worked at every level of trekking operations, I strongly believe in ethical practices, fair treatment of guides and porters, and delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Our goal is not only to guide travelers through breathtaking landscapes, but also to create meaningful cultural connections while supporting local communities and promoting sustainable tourism. Every journey with Kora Adventure is carefully designed with safety, respect, and personal attention at its core.

I sincerely invite you to explore the Himalaya with us and become part of our journey.

Warm regards,

Ven Dong
